The bulls of five star rodeo reigned supreme
at the SSBR 4th of July "battle of the warriors
Bull Riding" down on the big cypress Indian Reservation. Five Star Rodeo Co. had 2
National Finals Bulls there; “Gangster” was
one of them and had a great trip in the short
Corey Ferguson put out a great effort but gangster was too much on this day. Bronc Platt and Chad Willett made nice rides in the long round to take home 1st and 2nd place. SSBR Bull Fighters, Brandon Deiter and Chaz Fish did a great job fighting bulls all day. The old man on tour Dave Cash was 7.8 on the clock that would have gave him the Event win, but just came up a little short, but his effort was not to be un recognized.
Ricky Ringer got stepped on and mauled getting up with a broken hand and had swelling the size of a softball, which may shorten his season if Ricky doesn’t choose to ride with his left hand for the rest of the season. The short round followed shortly after that and Ricky drawn back to the short round, when asked if he was going to get on. Ringer replied in “old school fashion” well I won’t tell you exactly what he said, but the answer was “yes” “I will ride with my other hand”. Ricky put out a good effort but was bucked off before the whistle. All in all it was a great event and good to get out on the Big Cypress reservation and enjoy a great 4th of July. Thank you to Andy Gregory and Lance Jeffries for taking some great photos and we will see you all in Marianna, Florida on August 16,17 at the circle "D" Arena for the next stop on the 2013 Conley Buick GMC /SSBR Tour.
